Who are we and why are we here?

The New Zealand Plumbers, Drainlayers & Gasfitters Association promotes awareness of the standards required. Established in 1894 we are dedicated to protecting the health of our community. We represent, educate, coach, mentor and support our members. Our members attend regular meetings that include toolbox sessions, upskilling, new product introduction, new Codes of Conduct/Legislations and other industry training.

We are here to develop the profile growth, image and advance the standards of the New Zealand plumbers, drainlayers and gasfitters profession. We want our members to do well more than anything else and believe that their success is our success, this is why we also assist in networking the businesses of our members.

The New Zealand Plumbers, Drainlayers & Gasfitters Association liaises with other industry leaders, lobbying on behalf of its members with Government, the PGD Board, local City Councils and other stakeholder groups.
